I am looking for advice on which skid plates work best for an XR400. White Brothers, DG, Baja Designs, etc. DG seems to be the most expensive, however that doesn't always mean it is the best.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You may want to look at an include eline in that group, carbon fiber/kevlar combination. Very light and very strong. MX South sells them, to the left of your screen. I have the eline pipe protector with no problems so far, except that it took some time to correctly install it.
Good luck

I`ve had great luck with the Moose plate on my xr400. Was a little concerned at first blocking the air flow to the lower end and was going to take it off during the heat of the summer, until I seen the gouges and scrapes under the skid plate. I ride in rocks quite a bit and pretty sure the bike would have taken some damage without it. I did end up drilling some 7/8" holes in the side portion & some 1/2" holes in the bottom to increase air flow to the transmission.

Speedway - Thanks for the tip on E-line. Nice looking, however seems a bit steep at $120. Gee, what is a little more weight on an XR since it already weighs a ton? :D

You make a very good point!
