(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I know it's a long shot but if anyone in the Pittsburgh, PA area notices their neighbor with a recently "purchased" 2000 YZ250 please e-mail me (itacud709@hotmail.com). The bike has MotoXXX graphics (the dice) and seat cover, Renthal bars, fmf Gnarley, new side panels, "907" on the front plate. Bike was stolen on 6/6/2002. Thanks.

Where was it stolen from? I just e-mailed a copy of your post to some friends in the Latrobe/New Derry area. I know a lot of folks from around there and asked them to spread the word to everyone they know. Any more information you can give us?

I'll keep an eye out for it up north. Going riding today and tomorrow and usually dont see new looking bikes so it should be easy to spot if its in my area.

What part of the burg are you from. I had two CR's stolen from the South Side on Halloween. If they were stolen from that area have a good idea of the guys behind it. Of course that didn't help me get my bikes back. Email me a Lrice@msa.com and give me the details. I ride a lot so I can keep an eye out for it.
Sorry to hear about you loss. It really sucks I know the feeling!

I'm still in shock and the adrenalin is still pumping ...I'm happy to say that The YZ is back in my posession!!!!!
I did all the right things - filling the police report and such. But the next day (today) :whiner: when my buddy said there was a YZ running around a little "crappy" riding area near Sheraden (just outside the core of Pittsburgh) where he works and it had no stickers on it I knew there wasn't time to get the cops involed. Got 3 friends and snuck up on the little a-holes. They were soooo scared. The dude that had my bike got slamed to the ground. There were 4 all together and more were coming out of the woods so we jumped on my bike and rode on home!
The police are going after the guy based on the description we gave - apparently he did this sort of thing before.
I don't reccommned taking the law into your own hands but tell you what...I never felt so happy in my life! Thanks for all the replies but I'm happy to say that I'll be back on the trails/track soon.
YEA!
If you loose a bike in Pgh I reccommend going to the same place that I found mine. Called Bums Tunnel -= between Sheraden and McKees Rocks. I just wish we could have nabbed the other 3 bikes that they were riding - guarentee they were stollen too.

Man you got really lucky... I am very thankfull that I live in a place where we can leave things outside for more than 5 minutes without them being lifted. Congrats
