I'm thinking about buying Some MX gear from Shift, a company I had never heard of until I looked in my uncle's Bob's Cycle Supply Catalog. I'm looking into buying Shift gear because I already have a fox uniform but need something lighter, less tight and better ventilated for FMX riding, and I'm on a budget. Does anyone own either the Shift Commando Jersey, The Shift Squadron Pant or the Shift Assault pant.
Thanks

I thought mine was good gear, but I no longer wear the baggy pants as I've had the kickstarter slide up inside the leg a bit too often, which usually results in a nice hard crash in the first turn because I'm trying to get it out :scream:
my advice, duct tape or zip tie to take up the slack

I used it for about 8 months. Since getting my new Fox 360 Pants and O2 Jersey, I don't even use it. I use to think it was comforatable til bought my new gear. Shift FMX gear is hot, heavy, and cheaply made. The stiching on the pants start to come apart quickly. I've heard for FMX, SMP gear is the best high quality gear available. My friend has some and it has held up great for about a year now. His only complaint is that it's too hot for MX. Try www.renegaderacing.com for SMP and other brand gear too.
