Should you use radiator guards?

Ok today I went riding and where I ride we have a nice size berm so as I was riding I went to take the berm high and somehow my rear tire went over the berm and I just fell down. Not a real serious fall but enough to give me some scratches. So when I picked my bike up I looked at my left radiator and noticed the 2 front bolts holding the radiator to the frame were popped out somehow (I'm guessing I need longer 8mm bolts to hold the rads on the frame). I was scared to look at my radiator for damage and I looked at it and didn't notice anything wrong with it. I then thought wlel maybe it could be leaking from somewhere. Nope, nothing. I'm positive if I wasn't runnin the Devol guards my left radiator would have been bent real good. If I had to give them a rating from 1-10 they would get a good 9 1/2. A very good investment for both mxers and wood riders. :D

I've got the Devol radiator braces on my CR 250R, and I think they're great too.

I've gone down a couple times during desert races. Had to straighten out the guards twice after races but have yet to damage the rads. I figure they have already saved about $500.

i also have them on my yz250 and they are almost the best thing that i could have invested. thay have saved hundreds of dollars for me. i dont race or anything but when your in thick woods trail riding, they are really really good to have!!!
