Out for the Nationals w/ a broken wrist

Posted by: dirthog---------------------

how did he do that

Posted by: YZ Joust---------------------

He crashed in one of the Nationals a few weeks ago... I don't remember which one though.... I was looking forward to seeing him race at Budd's Creek this weekend but I guess I'll only see him signing autographs...

Didn't he crash at the second round? or was it the third round? I saw the crash on TV, but it all blurs together.

Week 2-Sacramento

250's: Ricky Carmichael had a near flawless day. He didn't start up front in either moto, but by the time the checkered flag fell he had commanding leads. He's won all four motos of the season, has a perfect score of 100 points, and can win under any conditions.

David Vuillemin took home second overall with scores of 3/2. He's running fourth in the point standings with 75.

Tim Ferry, although scoring the same amount of points as team-mate David Vuillemin, finished third overall with a 2/3. (The better second moto finish is the tie-breaker in AMA scoring.) Tim is second in the point standings with 82 points.

NOTES: Stephane Roncada was fast, but didn't have his day turn out as planned. He was the early leader in moto 1, but he and RC touched a few times, and Stephane got the worst of it. He eventually pulled out of the race, and has a sore knee. He started the second moto, but pulled off. Travis Pastrana fell in the first moto, and has a probable broken wrist. Sean Hamblin (#99) is riding the factory Team Sobe Suzuki while Kevin Windham recovers. Nate Ramsey crashed in his heat race last weekend at Glen Helen and suffered minor injuries. He might ride next week at Mt. Morris. Mike LaRocco's wrist has been hurting after hard riding, and has decided not race until close to 100%. It's possible he will compete at Mt. Morris as well.
