K&N filter oil

Does anybody use K&N filter oil on a non-K&N filter? It seems real thin and slick, like ATF, and doesn't tack up like some other brands. I'm not sure I like it - anybody have an opinion here?

I have been using that Maxima spray on filter oil. Works good, its blue, you can see it easy, goes right on. You probably know about this but, also been using Silkolene filter wash - it cleans easy and good, but the best thing is you rinse it out of your filter with plain old water. I poured the Silkolene into one of those Twin-Air filter cleaning tubs that has the wire support in the bottom. All the dirt in the Silkolene just settles to below the wire stand and you are ready to clean a filter again using the same cleaning fluid over-and-over.
