motocross bike to trails bike

I have a 1994 KX 125 and I perfer riding trails rather than motocross. So what should I do to it to make it a better trails bike.

Anything with lowend power will help. 125's require lots of clutching on trails. Flywheel weight, a pipe made for lowend power, gear it down a bunch, if you really want to get into mods try porting for lowend. I'm sure someone else will be along to spread their vast wisdom on this. They probably know more than I do anyway.

I'd agree with the flywheel weight etc. The basic problem as well is the gear ratios being set up close, for motocross. First gear will seem too tall. You could play with a smaller-tooth countersprocket.
Or sell your KTM and find an XR400.
cheers, Mac

Install a FMF Fatty pipe or Pro circuit works pipe. Also a good reed setup will give you more power for the trails. Gear down(larger) on the rear sprocket to keep from wearing the chain out any faster.

Where do I get flywheel weights, how much are they and what do they do.
