Fuel Valve (Petcock) Hits Cylinder Fins

On my XR, I have this big desert tank I got with the bike that I want to put on. The problem is, the petcock has the filter housing on the bottom that is rubbing against a fin on the engine. At first I was just going to bust the fin off there but then I thought it might be nicer to do it right. What would work is a petcock with no filter on it which is what is on there now. The only problem is the stock tank valve is held in by 2 bolts and the aftermarket one is the kind that has one large nut around the whole thing. Where might I find something that will work?
