Good to hear 'bout the "fun" part! Any loam? Does WIDE mean no trees?

There are lots of trees!!!! Wide probably means they run most of the loop on established trails that are 4-wheeler width. They sometimes put in new trail, but it is usually small sections. The people that run it are great and need our support. So head on down and buy a tee-shirt and have a good time.
