Handlebar Options (7/8 or 1 1/8)

Hi, What are the options for changing the mounts out for 1 1/8 mounts? Will the ones sold for KXs work? CRs? What bar bend do you recomend for me (5'11") Also, for 7/8 bars, does the freddete clamp thingamajig work pretty good to stop the bars from twisting in the clamps?

Tag Metals has a great 7/8" bar that mounts in your stock clamps. It is the Tag X5. My son and I both have them and have not bent them yet. This says alot for my son as he would go through 3 or so sets of bars before the Tag's. They cost about $75.00 so you can save some bucks not having to buy clamps.

Lew - did you notice a major increase in vibration with the Tag's? I recall another post in the last couple month or so that mentioned they seem to amplify a bit more than other brands. Your experience? I would like to stay with the stock diameter, but have maximum strength & minimum shakes.

The Tag X5's do not vibrate any more as far as I can tell and the Fredette bar clamp works great to keep them from twisting.

I don't notice any vibration. I don't do alot of open wot though. I ride more tight woods.
