swingarm powdercoat

i am about to have my frame powdercoated the same color as the new kdxs (gray/silver) i can get the swingarm coated for about $30 more. has anyone else done their swingarm? how did it hold up?

I had the swingarm on my son's little bike power coated. so far its held up better than some parts of the frame. the parts where his boot rub are starting to show wear but the swingarm still looks like new.

If the swingarm has any heat treat or temper [T4 -T6 ?] as do aluminum wheels you do NOT want to powder coat it. The part is heated to 400F which removes all temper [strength] - not good!! Some years back when aluminum scuba tanks first came out, a number of people got the great idea of powdercoating them. Upon filling, a number of these coated tanks exploded - injuring and/or killing anyone close.
