Supplies near by?

Just doing a little planning. Having enough ice, food, drinks for 5 days and 3 guys is tough to bring...well the ice will be. My RV will be permanently parked so if I need something is there stuff with in walking distance?

Somebody else will have to answer about how far the nearest store is but the last two years it was pretty easy to get ice etc. One person would head for town and pick up items for 3 or 4 people etc. I'm sure you'll be able to hitch a ride to the store with someone - with a group this large there will be someone heading to the store pretty regularly.

Stillwater is about 15 minutes away. Not within walking distance. You'll find that there is always someone going into town, like TTR suggested, hitching a ride is never an issue.

I did notice on a sign that there was ice for sale at the track. I'm guessing he wouldn't have left it up if it weren't for real. That will be a GREAT convenience.

Fred .. If you come to Oklahoma .. I will CARRY you on my back to the store. .. No really you can borrow my truck anytime to make a supply run. You will find DW02 like one big family and I bet there will be several people glad to take you town or pick up supplies for you.

Mike
That won't be nessesary! I AM coming and I've already signed up. We'll have to take a ride together. I might even MX the KDX a little, the last time I rode MX was in 1976 on my enduro bike! No jumps then just a natural grass track type track...I had a blast! Thanks for all the information and the offers to get us stuff if we need it.
Fred

Thats great news. I am looking forward to riding with you. This is the ONLY time each year that I step foot on a MX track. You gotta ride in the "Bikes with lights" class. It is always full of KDX's and LOTS of fun. I will try my best to uphold my "Last in class" status again this year. :scream:

Ah, MikeB and TimR riding the MX with camelbaks, fender packs, waist packs etc. Twas a great sight to see when one of you came around a corner and ride 1 handed while taking a long sip hehehe - I think I am gonna have to partake this year also.

Uh...I only took a sip from my Camel Bak, 1 time per lap! And, if I happened to foul a plug on the far side of the MX track, well, I was prepaired to stop and change it and get back in the race. It was big fun!!

There are now three shops in town. One Kawi/Suzuki, one honda, and a new yamaha shop. Maybe they'll all stay in business till then.

I assume by 'town' you are referring to Stillwater not Tulsa - yes?

How far is Cooperland from Stillwater proper?

Posted by: justql---------------------

Yes, Stillwater. It's just a few miles,if my math is right 11 1/2 miles Like OKIE said fifteen minutes or so.
