free sag too low

We set my friends race sag the other day. We set it to about 92mm. We then mesured the free sag and it was only about 6mm. I know he should have a stiffer spring (the guys a fun pig). My question is to keep the same spring should we just adjust the race sag closer to 100mm.

STIFFER SPRING!!! That mesurement is supposed to be around 25 mm. Get a stiffer spring or the rear end will swap side to side and feel very bouncy.

Kawie is right. 6mm is nothing, that CLEARLY shows you need a much stiffer spring.

You still have some room to play with your current spring if race sag is 92mm now. Back the spring preload off and adjust it towards 105mm. You don't have to go that far, just enough so that you get the free sag between 15-25mm. If after trying this, you still can't get between 15-25mm free sag, staying below 105mm race sag, then you'll need to spend the bucks for a stiffer spring.
