OK, I really want to get a kx 125, but how does it compare to all of the ohter bikes like the RM,CR,YZ,and SX??? I will be getting a 2003 model. any info would be good.. thanks

i ride red IMO you cant buy a bad bike these days. Have you ridden before? whats your specs, Height weight etc, what will you be riding, this will let use give you the best response.

Go and look at every brand...sit on each one and which ever one is the most comfortable...BUY IT! most bikes now adays are all equal.

Except my Honda which will leave every other bike in the dust. Do as posted above.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Give us some freakin information. Read the rules that are in a post at the top of this forum.

Also, how in the world can anyone compare the 2003 models that haven't come out yet?

Sheesh. We can give you info on past models and what has been said but you are going to get more info by doing a search in the CR/KX/RM/YZ forum and a search in this forum than you will by us answering for you.

Look at the responses you are getting. This is what happens when you don't give specific information for what you are looking for or for what type of rider you are and what experience you have.

I'm leaving this one open b/c one poster here has committed to helping you by asking some really good questions of you. If you answer that will tell us how much help you want or if you are just playing around.

It is all a matter of opinion to me. Personally I will only ride Honda. There are some people that ride only kawasaki. The performace is there in all the bikes so one is not reallly that much better than the other.

Posted by: flyfishdoc---------------------

I will only ride blue, or yellow (if i must). Riding red is a sin, my friend's CR has had so many maitenence problems (not that YZ's dont) his dad is in the garage for 8 hours after every time he rides it. Transworld introduced the new models for Kawasaki (Kawasucky in my book) and Honda. The new Kawasaki looks and sounds pretty sweet. But if you want reliability, performance, and the coolest bike on the block- GO BLUE

Definately go sit on all the bikes and see what feels comfortable too you.. We ride Kawis(o1kx250&01kx125), have had no problems, the are fast and the suspension is good, just need to tune it in.. I have seen an 03KX80 at the local shop, looks good..

well i weight about 150-160. Ill mostly be doing trail riding and ive been hearing stuff about the YZ250F... would this beat a 125 on trails. what if i put torque reeds and FMF fatty pipe and power core 2 on a 125? would the 250 still beat the 125? ne info would help thankz

Posted by: truespode---------------------

The YZ250F is a great bike and is a great woods bike as well.

Whether it will beat any other bike all depends on the rider. Especially riding trails. Unless you are riding flat, open fire roads then either bike in the right hands will be a great woods weapon.

Shane Watts routinely stomped up on the competitors riding 426's, 400's, 250's and what-have-you when he was racing a bone stock KTM125 in the GNCC's.

The bike doesn't beat anyone, the rider does.

if you want a fast trail rider that you can ride MX that wont require the maitinence of a 125 go with the YZ250F. Its hands down the best.

Sorry to hear about your frineds cr, but dont over look the honda product because "your freinds is broke" My frined had an rm125, and it was always broke, now he has a honda and hes always eiding now. He never maintained it. Tha would not have influence my deciction on an rm, heck I almost bough one.
