I want a 2 stroke Im thinking of a YZ 85 but I have been only
been riding for 2 or 3 years with a TT-R 125L. Do you think a 85 would be good for me

Nobody has an idea b/c nobody knows anything about you.

Read the rules, do a search and come back later with more info.

Below is how I started asking when I wanted a new bike back in 98 when I wanted to get back into it and even my question didn't have enough information for anyone to give me a good answer

Quote:
I am considering getting a new bike. I am torn between three bikes, the yz400, the kx250 or the rmx250.

I currently ride a Suzuki sp125. It is just a trail bike to fool around
on. When I was in high school I rode an rm125 and I loved the crisp
response of a 125. While getting my college education I didn't have time to
ride so I just hit a trail or two on the sp125 on weekends and my riding
style has changed. Now I have a career and the means to get what I want.
The challenge now is to make up my mind. I've read Dirt Bike, Dirt Rider
and Motocross Action but they have not given me anything to help me make my final decision.

Mostly I will be riding trails but I do want to enter a few poker runs,
hare scrambles, maybe even an endurance race or a motocross if I get the
chance. I plan on filling up my weekends.

My riding style is finesse. I'm 6'0 and 170lbs and I don't muscle my
way around a track or trail. I like a bike that will pull low and wind
high. The terrain I ride is hard pack for the most part but there are some
sand dunes around as well. I live in the upstate of SC but will be riding
in Columbia SC, Savannah GA, Augusta GA, Greenville SC, Spartanburg SC,
Rutherfordton and Forest City NC and possibly a few areas in Tenn. I would
prefer a bike that would not need much jetting changes for the different
areas. My riding buddies have mxers. The guy I ride with the most has a
yz125 but that bike just hits too hard in the wrong places.

So what is your recommendations? The kx250, the yz400 or the rmx250 or
is there another bike that I should consider?

Ivan
