Which 4-Stroke for trailriding

I need a little help. Looking to buy a 4-stroke for trailriding. Also, it must be green stickered for California. The new 2003 Kawasaki KLX300 looks like a good choice, although the Yamaha TTR250 and the Suzuki DRZ250 might also work. Any advice would be welcome.

i would go with either the xr400 or ktm exc 400. the ktm will have more grunt

Also, if you need more specific help we need more specific info about you and the trails you ride on, etc.
