96cr250 forks?

on my cr250 thr forks r too harsh they dont absorbe bumps much at all. i was told to lessen the compression so i turned the screws on top of the forks that have the directional arrows and a H S. conter clock wise for softer and clock wise for harder. i turned them 2 turns softer. what should this do? and where r the clickers? what r the screws on the bottom of the forks? and what do they do?

96 bottom is the compression adjuster . You might want to but a manual with a tuning guide in it . It will help you understand your bike , the terms and what causes what to happen . on the comp adjuster you should turn it ccw to decrease or make a little softer . GOOD LUCK DEAN
