Michelin Starcross MS2 vs S12

Its time again for a new set of tires. I have used the S12 in the past on my KDX and was vary happy with them. The Starcross was not available for an 18" rim so I never considered them. I now have a KX250, so it puts them back into the picture. I looked at the Michelin web site and it shows the Starcross MS2 as having more performance and the same durability as the S12. Can anyone comment on the differences between these two tires? Which tire is better for trail riding? How do they hold up?

I have been running the Starcross for about 6 rides now.
As far as how it works compared to the S-12...about the same, but I have yet to use it in anything other than hardpack, silt, sand, & other dry conditions.
Not as much flex as the S-12 & so far it has been holding up very well. I belive it would easily outlast an S-12, but I cannot yet comment on how well it works as it wears out. One of the things I have always liked about the S-12 is that it continues a high level of performance as it wears.
