Windham's problem

THE WINDHAM SAGA IS ALL ABOUT SCREWS--AUG 14

Kevin Windham discovered why he's been having so many problems with recovering from breaking his femur. The screws that were placed in Kevin's leg to speed up the healing process were bothering the muscle surrounding the bone. Kevin once again went under the knife to get the screws removed and is feeling much better. However, Windham will not be making a surprise appearance at one of the remaining Nationals this season. On a high note, Kevin will most likely be back next year riding for Factory Suzuki.

Can Kevin get his head on straight and be a factor next year? Time will tell.

I heard that he most likely won't be racing anymore.

There is a million rumors going around about K-Dub done with racing, never coming back because of the leg, just focusing on his own park, etc...

I stay positive because K-Dub IS the last one to hand it to RC on a MX track. Last time RC lost a national was over a year ago - at Washougal. Both motos K-Dub PASSED and BEAT RC. I think K-Dub will be back just on his own memories of that race and knowing he has what it takes to give the Flying Freckle a little bit of a challenge. Does anyone remember how pissed K-Dub was at Steel City last year about his win becuase RC wasn't on the line? I predict Kevin will pick up AT LEAST two national wins next year (and maybe a later SX race too if he stays away from attempting tricky quad jumps  ) .

It sure is a bummer that a guy has to come out of retirement (Henry) so we could at least see someone go toe to toe with RC. Yes, it was short lived and we all knew that, but he gave him all he had for a couple of laps anyway.
The last one I saw give it everything they had was Ramsey back in Supercross. Someone has to step it up and go for it, Kevin Windham has what it takes to do it, I hope he comes back.

Hopefully Suzuki will have the one-two punch next year that they hoped for this year. Both TP and K-dub are capable of winning races that have RC on the starting line. Besides Kevin is poetry in motion on the bike.

No doubt, I am very looking forward to K-DUB coming back, makes you wonder if alot of these guys werent out, would RC's streak be as easy as it is now, probably, but Kdub could bring the heat as long as he didnt fade, TP in the mix, Larocco from the get go... oh well, heres to K-dub coming back, cheers!

I hope KW does return to racing, but truthfully, I think the race is gonna be for 2nd place for a while. I don't think anyone is gonna be really challenging RC. If his confidence, training, and and interest level remain the same, it wouldn't suprise me to see him do to SX what he has done to MX this year. Sad and boring for us, but I think we have to face facts. I think the only rider with the ability to catch him has lost the desire, and fitness level to stay out in front. Sadly, I don't think getting married and riding an orange bike is going to bring the interest back, nor take the years off. I sure wish it would though.

Someone asked would RC be winning if they werent injured. When was the last time RC was injured and took a couple or few races off to heal up?? He has been winning but also has stayed pretty heathly compared to others dont ya think??

I talked to K-DUB at flying W trails sunday, his place in mississippi. He said the surgery went well. The place near his knee where the pain was allready feels better. He will not try to race the SX series but will try to get back for the outdoors. Also said Mcgrath has been calling him about joining his new team and riding KTM. I would love to see that.

KTM 380

RC is on that Honda now and a completely different rider than last year! K-Dub would have his hands full with Ferry and trying not to finish more than 30 seconds behind RC!
