I'm thinking about picking up a used travel trailer for camping, rides etc... Something in the 21' to 27' range.

Any suggestions on specific things to be aware of or lookout for when buying used?

Before you look at the trailer, see what your truck is rated to tow. There should be a sticker on the trailer that states its max GVWR to compare.

Run all of the systems and check carefully for rot in the bathroom areas.

Dry rot will eat away a wood-framed trailer. Check all the seams for signs of removal, excessive caulking and re-installation. Other problem areas to check out are the gas/electric refrigerators and the plumbing system.
