DESPERATELY NEED: '99 YZ125 Mikuni Carb. Slide

If anyone has a Mikuni stock carb. slide off of a 1999 Yamaha YZ125 that they are willing to sell, please let me know because mine is worn out and needs to be replaced ASAP so my throttle will quit sticking. New ones cost $90 so give me a price and let me know. Thanks

True I have had a lot of problems lol. It's not a lemon though, I can assure you of that! :confused: I think I have found the problem to my throttle sticking though. When I was putting my bike up into the shop, I left it running to drain the gas from the bowl and I turned the handlebars to the right to position it into the shop and all of a sudden my bike started revving up like I twisted the throttle just then. I guess my throttle cable is hanging on something, but I'm not sure what since I checked and the only thing it might be catching onto is the gas tank where it bolts onto the frame. Perhaps I should consult my cable routing diagram in my manual... :silly:

Try routing your cable under the bolt that holds the gas tank in. I have had this problem a few times on my bike and found that it is just a matter of routing the cable differently to cure this.

Yeah thanks. I can't remember where mine is, but it hangs on that area sometimes though so next time I have time I'll go check it out and try to fix it. Thanks again for the help!

Hey, I actually have 2 brand new slides for a '99 YZ125. They are 7.0 slides, which were recommended by Pro Circuit, but I never installed them. I think the stock ones were a 6.0 or 6.5. If you are interested in one of them, drop me an email (MCP486@aol.com). I have no use for them, and would be willing to sell you one for around $50+ shipping.

I just looked at Yamaha of Troys OEM microfiche of my carb. and you can buy either a 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 size. Are both of them 7.0? Will the larger size make it run richer or leaner? Anyways, I'd really like to take one off of your hands, if you don't mind waiting for me to get some money. Hopefully we can work something out. Thanks a lot man! :thumb:
