Looking for anyone that has made there own and has instructions on how to install a hot start button on a 33 Mikuni Carb. Do not want to spend $90.00 for kit. Any do-it-yourselfer's out there!!!!

Brandon, I ran a home made one on my KLX. I used fuel line and a Motion Pro fuel shut off valve. It runs into the air box where the engine case vent hose goes. I drilled and tapped a fitting on the intake port. I used brass fittings and had the valve zip tied to the frame right by the fuel petcock. email me at jseikel@shaw.ca and I'll see if I can find a picture to send you.

Go to www.planetklw.com - tech tips - instructions and photos - sorted my mates KLX 250 out and transformed it in terms of hot starting, got a small in line pneumatic valve from an autojumble - total cost of project around $15. Just take care with swarf from the drill / thread entering the inlet - spread grease around the inside to trap it.
