Setting sag, hot or cold?

When is the correct time to adjust the sag, when the shock is cold or hot? I think tonight my static sag changed about 10mm after the shock got hot!
I had noticed that I thought there might be too much static sag when I unloaded the bike, but after riding, grabbed a bud to help with the measurements and found the back end sitting higher. Is this normal? The linkage is not binding.

Yes, it's totally normal. The sag measurement is always smaller/less when damper i hot, due to the preassure increase inside. Do your sag settings with cold damper. All specs on sag is cold. Good Luck!
