AHhhh atf attacking seals?????

I just put some Valvoline dexron mercon atf in my forks last night only to read here in a previous post that the dexron type will eat seals???????
Anybody know this to be true?
Should I drain them?
I would hate to have ruined seals because of this.
Help quick

It does not seem to attack seals in automatic transmissions.
I have been running ATF in my YZF's shock with no problems (and great action BTW). I run ATF in the forks on my old XR as well as my son's KDX. No problems there either.
