Synthetic oil in tranny on 03' CRF450?

I just picked up my new 03' CRF450 and my dealer told me not to run synthetic oil in the tranny. He said that it messes up the clutch. Just wondering if anyone heard this or has any thoughts on it. Thanks!

I run Mobil 1 synthetic in the engine and regular petroleum oil in the trans. I tried putting the Mobil 1 in the trans a couple times but I didn't notice any difference so I stopped wasting the money and went back to cheap oil. Putting Mobil 1 in my streetbikes has always made the shifting just a bit smoother but the CRF is already such a smooth shifter that it didn't make any difference, just a waste of money.
