help for a "newbie"

New guy here folks.

I have ridden since I was 5 (now 40) and want to get back into dirt bikes. I can get a killer deal on a KX 250. I haven't ridden a MXer in 20 years...can I handle it? I now ride a Honda 919 (last bike an FZR) and consider myself an advanced street rider. I ofter fool around on friend's DP/enduro bikes and raced as kid..but was worried about the longevity of the KX 250 just using it as a playbike. Other than fouled plugs, what is the downside to this scenario. Will the KX last. Will it be good in the sand (Iwould guess so)? Can it be ridden in snow? Or am I just asking for trouble?

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks guys/gals

You should be able to handle it . The KX line is a good solid line, I would prefer others ( personal preference) but they are all reliable these days. The KX as a play bike is OK but if you are going to trail ride it may not be the ticket. ( see the KDX models from Kawasaki for this) It can be modified though.

It can be ridden in snow ( not real deep, but there is a ski thingy available for the front tire now) but you may want to add some studs to the tires ( works on GREAT on frozen lakes too!!!!!)

No trouble !

Have a blast!

Kevin
