Welcome aboard Goober!

Phillip

20k. Wow. Oh, yeah: "Hey Goob, Gomer and Andy says 'Hey'! ".

Here's Goober:

Now that he and Lori want to start respomding to things on DRN, I figure they better do it under their own names!

Posted by: CAL---------------------

Gomer, Goober,...so what's Lori's name?...

Posted by: Senior KX Rider---------------------

A chip off the ole block

Posted by: bscottr---------------------

Very cool Gomer! :thumb:

"MS. Crump"! Tommy can be "Barney" or "Floyd"! LOL!

Anyone else hear that song whistling through their head?!

Congrats Gomer and family.

Posted by: High Lord Gomer---------------------

Lori is "Lady Gomer" and Ricky is "BlastGoalie" (his soccer team/position).

Tommy has been "Goober" for a long time... http://groups.google.com/groups?saf...oober&lr=&hl=en

It seems really fitting that one of the Gomer clan is #20K, especially in light of the fact that his form on the bike is already better than most of us. :scream:
Check the ATTACK position in the pic, elbows up head forward. Are you sure he's YOUR son Gomer?

Posted by: High Lord Gomer---------------------

Yep, Rich, he's looking for a place to crash...can't ya tell?

Posted by: Senior KX Rider---------------------

When I heard it was your son I was looking for that tell-tale chunk of sod stuck in his visor.

Posted by: High Lord Gomer---------------------

LOL! He only rode the big grass field at Cooperland, but he loved every minute of it. Until then I had been keeping him in 1st gear at the beginner's track where we ride. Out in that field I shifted him up to 2nd and he had at least 3 higher-speed get-offs, but he still wanted to keep it in 2nd!

That's gonna leave a mark. . .

I thought it was a big hairy deal when it hit 2,000.

Mike, Lady Gomer? Shouldn't you be Mister Lori ?

Gomer - I think you need to change the number on Goober's bike to 20k . Someday he might have cool story to tell on ESPN because of it. :thumb:

Posted by: OldassKDX---------------------

Is there a way to figure out which number the rest of us are?

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Not really... I can look them up, but no, I don't want to!

Posted by: _SOLO_---------------------

It's not that hard, I figured it up yesterday when me and Pleaser were talking about the good ole days. I was around number 968 or so.

Posted by: JuliusPleaser---------------------

Just like Dad! He must have hit the ground 5 times before he was ready.

Posted by: OldassKDX---------------------

Aww, c'mon Okie, it'd probably only take you a few thousand man hours or so.....and Solo, how'd you figure it out exactly?

Posted by: _SOLO_---------------------

Go to the stats, then members, then in the second box from the top click on the number next to members. Then on the next page click list by date joined. There are 30 members on each page, it starts from the newest, go to the very first page, count how many people are on that page (I don't remember), and then work your way backwards from there to find your name, it's easiest to look for the date that you joined and once you get in the right area start looking for your screen name. Count how many people are ahead of you on that page, then multiply how many pages you went over by 30 to get X, then add the other two numbers up and add it to X to get what number member you are. It only takes a few minutes and isn't that hard to figure out. Sorry if my directions suck though. I'm not good at explaining things.

My thoughts exactly .... It couldn't happen to a better family.

Posted by: OldassKDX---------------------

If I did it right....and I'm not sure I did....I think that makes me #4130. I sure took my time joining this place, I lurked unregistered for months and months. Imagine if I would have joined earlier....the prestige would be amazing.....right?

I'll check with the boss later. She demanded the 24 because it's his birthday and was also the number of some hockey player she had a crush on in high school.
