for the third or fourth time i was unable to enter the site due to an (unregistered) pop up. caused some unnecessary grief. is it me or some stupid glitch. this gets old.

If it prompts you to enter your username and password, then its because your cookies were cleared. Just dont erase them and you'll be fine.

It wouldn't let me in either. I know the cookies were cleared out, but my user name and password wouldn't work. It shouldn't affect it to that extent should it? Got around somehow, but it was scary for a minute.

i am registered on several other sites and do not have the problem with any. i feel it is a drn problem.

If you hit the logout button it will end your session and clear the cookies.
I also occasionally get the unregistered prompt when I return to the site so make sure you remember your password and you should be ok

I couldn't get on for a week at one point. It still says I'm unregistered sometimes. But the funny thing is, every other time I visit the boards I'll be browsing around (registered in) and try to click into a forum or topic. And it will pop up to a screen saying I'm not logged in Kinda annoying. But as long as I'm not off the site for a week again, I'll live with it.

I just had the same thing. Cleared out all of my cookies, but then I still couldn't even log back in. I kept getting 404 errors. Go figure though, my computer is built mostly from "salvaged parts".

There was a thread about upgrades happening soon.....could have something to do with it.

Had the same issue last night. I just tried later and it was fine....no big deal

I was getting the 404 error message for about 24 hrs starting mid moring yesterday. Also, If I go to view a PM from the link in the E-Mail notification, I have problems logging in. Even though I'm logged in already. This has been happening for quite a while. And I know it is not my cookies.
