Hi all,
I am desperately in search of boots with a wide calf. Having lifted weights and played Rugby for many eyars, my calf is a larger than average size. Yet, I need the protection of a heavy duty off-raod boot.
Please help if you can! THANKS

Do a search on Alpinestars Vector. I have a similar problem and they have proven to be a reasonable solution.

I won't ask you to search but I now have a pair of Vectors and they are a great boot for those that hve "big calves". I am a 6'00" rider and I was worried about the fit, I am a 10.5 wearing individual...AStars run large...If you order AS order your size a half size low for propper fit. Other than that wear thick sox if you order true.........

Sidi Force Flex has an adjustable calf and premo protection, they are however, pricey.
Good Luck

I use size 11us tech 6's with 17.5in calfs and still get my cells and pants tucked in.

Thanks for the good info. BTW, yes, I did search before asking - I try to be self-sufficient MOST of the time....don't always suceed.
I have located a dealer who SAYS they have a variety of the boot s y'all suggested. Will post back after exploring...
Thanks again!
***Please do NOT rain this weekend!

FYI to all those out there with great advice!
We have a WINNER!!!!
AlpinStar Tech 8's gave the fit I needed in the foot with the extension I need (hopefully not forever) in the leg. Very happy!
Also, jsut a note to those out there that have connections with the manufacturers - women's shin bones are NOT as long as a mans. Boot proportions are just not right! Aw well, 'nough griping - let's ride!!!
Thanks again! Y'all are great. :thumb:
