bye bye oil pump

hi i would like to change my kdx250sr from oil pump to pre mix and would like to know the best way to go about doing this.should i just stop filling the bottle and start mixing in the tank,or will this damage the oil pump.should i remove engine case and disconnect pump drive.the oil just seems to last to long which dosnt seem right for somethink that goes as well as this.
what sort of mix should i use is 32.1 about right.

If you are certain you will stick with pre mix then I would totally remove the auto lube system.I am not sure on the 250 but on my 200 I made a blank plate to cover the hole in the crankcase once the pump was removed.
Where the oil pipe goes into the carb manifold I would block off aswell,less chance of the engine sucking in air.
I am not going to recomend oil ratio but for the record I run 40:1 in my 200 so I think you could get away with this ratio using a synthetic oil.
