which late model off-road/woods bike vibrates the least. i have a ktm 200 exc and this thing is way too buzzy for me.

I hate to admit it but the Gas Gas is the smoothest bike I've ridden. The engine is balanced and there is zero vibration. WoodsRider has one.
If your bike is vibrating excessively it could be a sign of the crank bearings going bad. Pull the magneto cover off and see if you can move the flywheel at all. ANY movement is bad.

you mean even rotational?
The GG motor is smooth, it's a user friendly bike as long as you weigh more than I (and most people do).

Yep, those KTM200's do buzz, don't they! I guess I've gotten used to the numbness in my hands.
Plus, I stay out of the upper rev's, where the vibration seems to be worse. Putting in a flywheel weight has helped that out some. The 200 seems to be the worst offender, as my husband's 250 doesn't vibrate nearly as much as my bike.
I know the older Gas Gas's had counterbalanced engines, but I thought I read somewhere that they weren't doing that on the new (2002 and up) models? Maybe I am mistaken.

I don't know what you guys are talking about!
The CR500 is by far the smoothest woods bike around :silly:
