Hey,
I have some decent riding experience but am getting back into mx after a long hiatus. Is a 250f yamaha powerful enough for me- 6 ft tall, 180 pounds? MX riding and hare scrambles. Thanks

I just rode my new 2003 YZ250F today for the first time. I also own a 2001 WR426F. I'm a big boy, suffice to say over 250Lbs. I am impressed with what this bike does. Frankly my WR is now for sale! Doesn't have the BRUTE force that my 426 has, but it does have very usable horsepower. Went up some pretty decent hills today on it, actually trying to ride in too high of a gear. Sometimes took a little clutch action, but went up everything I pointed it at.
Now the other side...
This thing is LIGHT! My son said it was very noticable the difference in the way I handled Whoops, and jumps. I noticed in the tight stuff I was WAY faster then on the WR. Will it handle your weight? YUP!

I am 49 and ride 99% MX on a 2002 YZ250F and I love it. It has plenty of power and is easy to ride and jump, I drastically prefer it to a 1999 YZ400F I owned a couple of years ago.
