I purchased a 2003 CRF 450 this weekend. The dealer suggested Honda oil for the engine and transmition. Does anyone have any suggestions about using an of the shelf oil?

You can run any 10-40 conventional or synthetic motor oil in engine and transmission. Be sure not to use an oil w/ friction modifiers or molybdenum in the transmission side, though.
