What is this race like its at parie city is it seems more like its gonna be more of a desert racethan a scramble because its all flats its gonna be my first Hare scramble hope its a good one.

I raced this as my first "real" hare scramble a few years ago. It's pretty wide open, but still has semi-tight sections. The big problem is all the rocks & drop-offs as you wind through the riverbed. And I remember a few steep inclines that got me in trouble the first lap - not hills but steep cliffs of about 4-8 feet. Just be careful on your first lap, as the year I did it there were about three blind drop-offs that you didn't see until your front tire was on the edge.
You also go on part of the Hangtown track. Otherwise, the terrain is pretty mellow (easy for me to say in hindsight, I think I bitched about it for a few hours afterwards). Just remember to have fun!
