paddle tires

Im wondering if riding on pavement and even hardpack will hurt a paddle tire. I have to ride down hardpack trails and cross a few roads to get to the sandpit i ride at.

Oh im sure it would hurt it but if you have to do it then i would make sure you go slow and take it easy. No fast hard corners and no quick acceleration or deceleration.

When we ride in the dunes, we have to ride down about 1/2 mile of pavement and gravel before we get to the sand. Usually just idle along in 3rd, doesn't hurt the tire.

I agree, just get a good steady pace (so that the tire is moving along smoothly). And don't spin the thing on hardpack or rocks and you'll be fine. I have to ride across pavement/hardpack sometimes and it doesn't seem to affect the tire.
