Des Moines AX Friday Results
Last night's season-opening Arenacross, at Des Moines, Iowa, showcased some of the best racing the series has ever seen. It was an evening of bar-banging, lead-swapping, and surprise performances.
After a lacluster practice session, defending champion Josh Demuth regrouped to finish third in the 125cc class and fourth in the 250cc class. Top honors in the 125 main went to Tommy Hofmaster, while Canada's Darcy Lange topped the 250 field. In one of the evening's most surprising results, Buddy Antunez could only muster 7th (125) and 11th (250) in the main events. Antunez is known for picking up the pace as the series progresses, though, so don't be surprised to see him near the top very soon.
