Not Sure, should I get an atv or a dirtbike?

See I'm in high school and cant afford to have a atv and a dirtbike so I have to decide between the two. I either get the 700 twin polaris or the yz250f. Which do you think would be better.

Get an ATV only if you still need training wheels!!!!! 
Seriously though, IMO you will have more fun on the 250F.

Four wheelers are not allowed at dirtweek so for me it would be a no brainer, check out the dirtweek 02' forum and see what it is about. Then you can make a educated decision. Bike is faster, it goes more places, and con do alot of things a 4 wheeler can't.

Bikes are much more fun. Besides, anyone can ride a 4 wheeler halfway decent. A bike takes a lot more skill and the long learning curve makes it very exciting and satisfying.

HEy 007: What do your friends ride? If they are on all on quads buy a quad - that way you can all be miserable together.

Seriously, it is ALWAYS more fun to have ridin buddies with simular equipment!! If you want real fun bikin is the ONLY way to go - FAR MORE FUN!! I have a 88 Yam 350 Warrior Quad/riddin 4 times this year - my KDX250 is riddin at least 3 times a week on major woods rides (50 miles plus)!

Quad, hhmm I don't think so. Get the 250f! Of course myself being a two wheeler as stated in another post I'm a little biased.
