I've used it, and it works decently well for a short period of time. It's not a substitute for roll offs, but used with them could work even better. Just put it on a rag and wipe over the lens, let it haze, then buff off. Repeat about 3 times for good coverage :thumb:

I have a set of roll offs, but I have heard that when they get wet they are useless. Of course not having used them makes me clueless as to how to prepare them for rain.
Anybody have the know-how ?

If your going to treat a lens then put on rolls offs, make sure you run fishing line between the 2 cans to keep the film from sticking to the lens, otherwise don't put anything on the lens, tapeing an old lens to the visor on the helmet to extend it will also help in keep the roost of the lens and if it's raining will help to keep it off the goggles also. As SMB said it's works for a while, follow instructions on bottle, using a cloth to apply not a paper towel.

i use the fishing line trick (dupont stren, i think), it works. they have a new lens with bumps on it to keep the film from sticking when wet, but i haven't tried it yet.

I've tried Rain-x but couldn't tell any difference except it seemed to fog up quicker. Roll-off's have a visor you can buy seperately that is supposed to keep the water from getting between the film and the lense but I've never used it.

Use the anti-fog version of rain X NOT normal Rain-X. I had somebody tell me not to use the anti-fog version after using the normal stuff but have no idea if thats valid or not. I Always use the anti-fog stuff inside and out and it seems to help.

To eliminate fogging on the inside their is nothing better than the little white rag that you can buy from a ski shop.I've used the rianx anti fog and it just doesn't work that good.

All good recomendations. After more then 25 years of racing/riding I have a system that works really well, for me anyways.
For fogging (in early spring/late fall when it is cold and fogging is a problem)
I use an older set of goggles that I tear the bottom foam out. Dust isn't a problem when it's cold and wet.
Use No fog cloth, or the no fog drops, or even soap. Apply to the inside of the goggles and both sides of your glasses as per the directions of the product you are using. Rain-X, ????, not sure about that stuff. Works great on my truck though.
Roll offs for me, and I use the fishing line trick.
That's it. Pretty simple really.

I just got rolloffs - splain the fishing line trick to me. I get the idea but do you tie it to something, epoxy the ends to the goggles or what? Do you have a top line and a bottom? Does the fishing line bug you or can you even tell its there?

Run the fishing line between the bases of the to film canistersslightly under each edge, the line will be between the roll off film and the lens close the top & bottom and will keep the film from sticking to the lens. In rain you will need to run a film visor to keep as much water out from behind the film as possible.
