Howdy S-Bowden,

We're doing the same thing for the wife's BBR200. Here's Susan ("The Ant") and her bike:

http://www.bbrmotorsports.com/Bikes/Bike76/Bike76.htm

We have a CRF230 coming in two weeks - will be pulling the motor and stuffing it into the BBR chassis. I think I *might* have a friend interested in the 230 rolling chassis - but don't know yet. You have any bites on your's yet?

Also, do you have the 230 motors in and running? Any words of wisdom on the transfer/adaption? (We live in Portland, OR ... we may just take our bike back up to BBR and let them do it.)

And most importantly -- HOW DO YOU LIKE YOU NEW BIKES?!!! (grin)

Cheers! - RandyB

Yes they are together and running! It is a fun bike. We had 2002 XR250s and these seem to blow them away. They are easier to ride, faster and have the electric start .
I did ride one of the CRF230s a 100 yards on my street before I pulled the motor and I liked the control and power of the stock bike. The BBR230 weighs about 35 lbs. less though.
Are you going to have an extra XR200 motor? If I could get a XR200 motor I would install it and sell a complete bike.
I think a cool bike would be to put a XR200 motor in the CRF230 chassis. Put some 19"/16" aluminum rims and have a tough mini with the BBR fork and shock springs in the larger diameter forks and longer swingarm.
Thanks,
Scott

Howdy Scott!

Yes, we will have the XR200 motor out of the BBR. After thinking about it - I think you're right. We're just going to get the CRF230 and swap engines.

My friend that is interested in the roller chassis has his son riding their XR200 - and he is an agressive rider! So, the 230 chassis, XR200 motor (in excellent shape), along with the stiffer springs could be a great upgrade.

Shoot. It's looking like we'll probably just drop both bikes off at BBR and then write a check for the "transplant."

We'll keep you informed on how things go.

Cheers! - RandyB

You guys are having WAY too much fun! ! !

Life is short ... and this is not a drill. <g>

The last thing I want to be is old and decrepit and going, "...geez, I sure wish I would have ........"

Cheers! - rb

Just Sold one of the bikes.
Only have one left!
Thanks,
Scott

Congrats, Scott!

We're going to hold off on upgrading Susan's BBR-200 to the 230 motor until after the Reno, Nevada MoonRocks ride (President's Day weekend).

Will have more status a week or two after that. Good luck on the second bike! - RandyB
