YZ250F-Is Power Now the hot setup for easier starts and more torque?

Saw an article in D.R. saying this bolt on from World Power makes cold & hot starting a lot easier (no need for hot button) and also give more torque. Anyone have real world expeience with this & what do you think?

Here's the link to read about this simple add on: www.worldpowerracing.com. What do you think? Does the physics make sense.

It probably has the same affect as having a normal butterfly type choke, like say on an XR400. Edlebrock and others will say their carby is better because it does not have the restriction !.

The science is probably correct. There is a reason why the XR400 carby is built the way it is. The disadvantage is probably at the upper end of revs and it the plate should come loose.

This principle is what the guys in the KDX room are constantly talking about when they rave about the RB carb mod. I had a homemade divider plate in my KDX220 some years ago, and it certainly did make a noticeable difference in low to mid range performance.

IMO, the YZ250F might be a good candidate for one of these devices. From the bit I've ridden mine (I have a newbie 03) and what I read, it seems like the 250F can loose response at low rpms if the throttle is whacked too quickly.

I'm hemming + hawing, but I might pop for one and report back. First, though, I MUST do something to quiet that bike down a bit.
