I was wondering if any company made any contraptions that mount on your bike for practicing wheelies instead of the more painful approach of learning them. Any info would be appreciated. thanks

i havent heard of anything....you prob will have to make your own wheelie bar. maybe a U shaped bar that connects to your subframe.....your giving me ideas!!!

I don't know if I'd go that route. Any thing sticking out the back is gonna probably gut ya if it fails and you end up looping out.

Doesn't sound like a very good idea to me.

ya learning to do it the hard way pays off alot quicker i came off a xr200 and went to a cr250 and fliped it doing weelies and it was probly the best thing that could of happened for me to learn how to weelie now i don't panic as much and usually lots of time to jam the back brake if things get really ugly but be careful and where the right gear if your going to start wheelying cause your bound to fall off sometime its just a matter of time oh and by the way i built a weelie bar for my pedal bike and took it off cause it was way 2 easy and it didn't teach me anything just my oppinion tho!!!!

Angel soft tissue. Stuff it in your pants in case you fall on your .

Hey it works for the little girl on T.V.

the way i learned how to wheely is practicing on my bicycle, i taped weights on it, which made it heavy, then i wouldn't pedal just balance and wheely, that makes it easier to wheely on a dirtbike if you ask me cuz you have throttle to pull u up to instead of just ur arms and back. i dunno.......it worked for me. practice small wheelies on concrete.

I've found it easier to wheelie standing up rather than sitting down. One thing that has really helped me is to pinch the seat with my knees so that I'm "linked" to the bike. That way you pivot with the bike on the rear wheel rather than the bike pivot independently from your body...example:the farther the front wheel comes up the farther you'll lean forward pivoting on the footpegs and it's hard to tell exactly where the bike is. You won't know your in trouble until you kiss the front fender and you're feet fall off the pegs!

I also went from an XR200 to a 250 (RM and now a CR) and I can say I've put in my time visiting the ground in learning how to wheelie. I just takes a lot of practice.

Yes, your FEET will work very well for this purpose. Go to www.learntowheelie.com and send Jerry $5 for his wheelieing instructions, or $20 for his video. He'll tell you everything you need to do in a step-by-step process to learn to wheelie "with complete control and confidence" as he puts it.
