Riding Gear

I have a few questions about riding gear and some simple mods to my bike. First off i figured it would be safer if i purchased a pair of boots and Pants, cause riding with my joggers and running shoes prolly isnt to safe. But i have no clue what to get, i dont want anything to crazy cause those boots get pretty damn expensive, im a beginner and not very competitive i just like to rip around the trails.
And my next question is about pipes and handlebars. My bars are bent and crusty, and im looking for some new ones and once again i dont know what to get, just something simple that can take a beating i guess. And I have a rm 125 and im not planning on doing any racing, but mostly trails and maybe some jumps if i ever learn how. But i find that the RM has no low end power at all which gets annoying around tight trails, so i was wondering if theres a pipe or something i can get to improve the low end, but still keeping her screaming in the high revs.
Thanks for helping me out, damn 4 months till spring, noooooooooooooo.

Go to www.rockymountainmc.com
www.chaparral-racing.com
http://gmo1.com/site/index.cfm
and www.denniskirk.com
start in their closeout sections.
For light trail riding the cheapest boots are the Oneal Elements, That is what I use and they are $89. If you start doing any serious jumping or racing you should get better boots.

I was able to pick up a fly Lite on clearance for $79 in a magazine, and I am very happy with it, I decided not to skimp on the boots and ordered a pair of Fox Forma comp boots. The oneal elements looked cheap, if you are strapped for cash, I think you would be better getting a pair of higher quality used boots than new cheap boots.
Believe me I have cut corners before on cheap helemts, jerselys, pants boots... etc.... Cheap helmets are not comfprtable, and are usually heavy. and cheap boots wear out quick.

What sizes do you need - the for sale forum sometimes has great deals on used gear
