KX250 gnarly pipe

I am having Eric do a 310 conversion on my 2002 KX250. I have a 1999 KX 250 and want to take the gnarly pipe off it and put it on the 2002. Has anyone tried this?

I imagine you could make it work assuming that the main exhaust flange is the same. You will probably have to bend the mounting brackets or fab. some up to make it work. But it is possible.

Do you know if the flange is the same? Both bikes have the original Kawasaki Flange.

Hi there Willie_up! How does the '99 kx compare to the '02?
I have a '99 too, and was curious how it stacks up.
Also, was the gnarly pipe worth its cost? Any other mods you would recommend? I already got rid of the progressive springs!

It is still kind of early for me to give an accurate comparison between the 2 because I have only ridden the 02 for a couple hours. I LOVE my 99 -- the upgrades I have done that were worth the money were to have it ported, head milled and pipe, suspension resprung and revalved, pro-taper bars with hand gaurds, and larger capacity gas tank.
As for the 02 I decided it needs suspension, more low end (Eric has it right now for the 310 kit Mo-Better-Everywhere), and additional flywheel weight.
