I went to the shop and saw them, geez they are nice. Havent seen them on a bike yet tho. ANy one gotem yet?

I bought a pair of the green ones from another DRNer for my KX. They look really good on too! Fit great, but the plastic seems a little soft. I've had em out once to break the bush, they've got great coverage and keep the sticks and briars off your hands. I don't know that they'd take a direct hit into a tree though. Haven't tried that one yet. I did see that they sell replacement plastic for like $25 if they break, so that's comforting. I think they'll do fine for my type of riding as long as I keep it somewhat under control!

is it all plastic or do they have a metal bar running through them

All plastic with a thicker (1"X1") plastic bar running through them. They made them all plastic to save weight, and they are really light (I barely notice them on my bars), and I'm only guessing at their strength/durability --- like I said, I've not rammed anything YET to test them!
