I ride a suzuki drz 250 and I think I'm gonna get a 2 stroke but I'm not sure if I want a 125 or 250. I'm 5 11 and over 200 lbs. and still learning. I might put new exhaust later but will definately change sprockets for low end power. Can I handle a 2 stroke? Thanks.

You can definetley handle a 125. Its just if you can handle a 250 2 smoke. I came off a 98 XR250, and went to a 03 CR250. It was a big step, but I got "used" to the CR very quickley. I have been riding most of my life though, im 17 now, started riding when I was 6 and had a 4 year break between 11-15.
If you have time to get used to the bike, go the 250 I recken, I ride friends 125's and I just think to myself, "thing thing is useless". Compared to a 250, 125's are like a whipper snipper in my view

Thanks. I've heard 125s are harder to ride. I'm also not sure if a 125 can haul my fat self up a hill. But, I'm also worried that I'm in over my head with a 250 (considering I'm still learning) I do a lot of trail and I have an mx track near by and I go there a lot.

A 125 can definitely pull your weight. I'm a 195 lb novice and previously had a '99 yz125; alot of fun on the track (which i mostly ride).
However, you will notice the lack of response if not able to keep rev's up. especially compared to that 4-stroke. Mostly noticeable in woods. that drz will chug up a tight hill but the 125 will require more finese / timing to keep up the momentum.
There is no perfect answer. I've gone from 98 yzf400 to 99 yz125 to 00 yzf426; and I'm seriously debating going back to a 125.
Compromise answer? KTM 200 or YZF250

if you must have a 2 stroke MX bike, get a 250. you can "handle" it. make sure to ride it in open spaces untill you are comfortable with the power and the "hit."
you did not say what tpye of riding you wish to do. do you want to MX? i assume you are not MXing your DRZ. if you want to MX, all the 250's are fast but i lean toward the YAMs Hodas and KTMs.
if you want a 2 stroke woods/trail/enduro bike you only good choices are various KTMs (EXC's and MXC's) or a good ol' KDX.
i think you ought not go lower than a 200.
also, just in case you hadn't heard, lots of light fast 4 strokes are available from several manufactures. it couldn't hurt to look at them.
