has anyone tried the fox boots, the stewart replicas? thinkin about gettting a pair but figured i'd see if anyone had any feed back on them yet. thanks

I tried them on. They felt pretty good. Similar boot feel to a Tech 6 I thought. The top velcro reached all the way around my leg, which was the only boot to do that. I tried on Gaerne SG-1, Sidi Flex Force both of which weren't even close; then tried the Tech 8, the velcro didn't reach but the top strap did with quite a few notches left; I already have Tech 6 and I had to get the longer boot straps for them to fit; then the Fox Forma Comp Pros the velcro went, but the top 2 straps didn't. I'm waiting on Fox to email me back on whether or not they make long straps for them. This may not be the case for you however, because I'm a rather large legged fella (17.5 inch calves plus the huge CTi Edge brace). But back to the boot at hand, they felt pretty good and they look frickin awesome. I would definately get the Stewart replicas if I rode mx, but I race in the sticks and those pretty colors would look like crap after not too long. I would wonder how well they do hold up. Anybody actually have a pair yet?

I have a pair of the standard white forma pros.
They are sick.
The buckles rotate and are the best working buckle system I have experienced yet. Greg Fox told me they are very proud of this new boot effort, in regards to previous efforts, and after wearing them this last few months I can see why.
They really want people to know there are no B grade products in the fox line.
I came out of a set of a-star vectors and loved the feel and comfiness of the vectors.
The Forma pros match the comfi level and raise the bar in regards to support abd protection. I also like the higher tops on the forma, they capture my knee brace instead of falling below it like the vector.
I love these boots and you would have to pull them out of my fingers to get them away form me. I believe Fox has firmly adressed any quality and build issues by introducing this new boot. The buckle swivel arrangement brings a new level of refinement to mx-boots, IMHO.
I have 20 hours on mine now without any quality concerns, I give them :thumb: :thumb:

How does the sole hold up? I noticed that it was very similar to the Alpinestars sole, which I didn't care for.

SFO I would like to order a pair of Fox Forma Pros also, so I was wondering how the boots fit, were they the same size as your shoes or did you have to go bigger or smaller?

The soles have no noticeable wear as of yet, and I wear a size 12 1/2 shoe and the boots are a size 12.

I also picked up a pair of forma comp's the buckles hold well, but don't let go easily. I also like a very firm ankle support, but the ability to flex the rest of my lower leg. I have yet to test them out with in a crash.

I read in transworld that someone who used to work Addias was the main person behind the design I forget who but it was really kewl. They tried really hard to make the boot fit wide ankles and knee braces. I can't remember the reason for the sole something about it offering better traction and I think it said they went with that design to limit wear on the sole. Fox put alot of work into the new forma pro's but I'd have a hard time givin up my tech 8's I love the ankle support I get from'em. If you've ever cased a double hard you'd know why I'm huge on ankle support I still cringe and wiggle my toes everytime I think about the sharp painful tingling sensation it gave me.
