I live in Wisconsin and there are varied types of riding outhere, however there are very few places to go. So having a sort of do everything kind of bike would be great. I'm thinking a Grand Prix type of bike a little enduro, little single track, little fire road, and a little motocross. Please help

I was thinking maybe a WR450,DRZ-400, or even a XR650. What about them?

all of the above are great choices...although an XR650 would make a horrible MX ride, you could give it a whirl

Most importantly, what kind of a rider are we dealing with?
I don't think a rookie should use a Honda 650 as a learning bike! :scream:

good point...however, if the rookie in question was 5'9" or better, and fairly strong, and the XR650 was stock, then it wouldn't be a bad bike to learn on, IMO
