Autodecompression retrofit for YZ250F

I'm looking at buying a YZ250F for my wife. Was just wondering if I find a good deal on a 01 or 02, could I retrofit the new autodecompression set up like the 03 has? Also, how tall is this bike really? Specs say 39.2. My 00 YZ 250 sits at 36.5 Is the baby YZF really that tall?

you can do the swap with an '01 or '02 you just need the '03 exhaust cam its a simple switch out of parts and you can leave the manual lever in tack. I'm 5'5" and ride an '03 its not really taller than my YZ 125 but that bike is alittle wider so it feels alittle bit taller but not much. When I had my '02 yz125 sitting next to the 03 250F they looked the same though.

Thanks for the reply.
P.S. I found all the info I need re. autodecomp. on Thumpertalk. And hence there's a serious backorder for the exhaust valve that runs $150-200 to complete this mod. So far everyone that's done it "looooves" this new addition to an already great bike.
