I have noticed that many posts on here refer to 92 octane gas as well as in car reviews in Car and Driver and Road and Track.
Here in Mass "high grade" is 93 octane and 94 octane is sold at Sunoco stations.
Is 92 octane the highest grade in other States?

91 Here in California.

Ninety-two is as high as I've seen in Oregon. There are a select few Unocal 76 stations that sell race fuel at the pump, though.

93 here.

Most around here are 93, and sunoco has 94, at a few sunoco stations, you can get 100 octane pump gas, as well as 117 octane race fuel

In sweden we only have 95, 96 and 98 octane in our pumps.

Hey pyromaniac, what's the cost of a litre of gas over there?

Really expensive. It would be almost one US dollar per liter. Its because its 80% tax GRRR! But i think our fuel is pretty good, i have never had a problem with the fuel getting bad, somethimes as old as a year - in the fuel tank! Yet i rather have the cheap fuel you have in USA.
Sweden is no good country for petrolheads yet many do like engine sports. Its suprising what little sweden have done to the dirtbike world, Husqvarna, Husaberg, Öhlins and more.

I don't even want to talk about the garbage gas they sell here in Colorado. 91 is our high test with 10% ethanol,87 mid grade, 85 regular. I think we are the only state that sells 85 octane gas. The funny thing is I actually see people put it in there cars. I will run nothing but race gas in my bikes, because of this.

We still have 85 octane here in NJ too, moist stations here have 87, 89, and 93....unbless you go to Sunoco, they have 85, 87, 89, 93, 94, 100,(all unleaded) and 112 or 117(leaded race fuel), I forget which

Eric, don't fool yourself, here in Idaho we have the same grade gas as you do. The gas stations say they go through twice as much 85 as they do 87 and 91 combined. At least that's what they tell me, and after sitting at the pumps for 10 minutes I'm inclined to believe it. There is one place that sells 94, but with the 10% ethanol in it.

Ethanol won't hurt anything unless you have a dirty fuel system, then it will clean it out and clog your jets, and filters.
