"Cole Caulkins, Brian Garrahan, Jimmy Jarrett, Russ Pearson, and Guy Cooper were top five. Russ Pearson was the fastest rider of the day with a top ten start, moved into the lead by the end of lap two, then ended up crashing and dropping back to fourth. The course was very very tight with mostly virgin single track for the main event. Congratulations to Cole, who collected his first WORCS win in his first WORCS race, taking home $1,000 for his efforts!! Special thanks to everyone who came out and supported us despite the severe weather/travel conditions!!"
Sounds like it was a very muddy race.

Good racing! Compliments to DB, Gary Hazel and crew to have the event at all due to rain, rain and more rain. They had to do lots of reroutes and course changes, but they used upper levels on the mountain that dried out pretty fast. Saturday was pretty muddy in a few spots, but the riders Sunday were not muddy and speeds were good. Yes, there was some daunting single track, some of it was straight down and straight up, but good riders made it look easy as always. If you did not come, it was your loss!

Thats what I like to hear, good racing and reroutes if the course is getting damaged too bad or unpassable
